After Hours and Emergencies

We have evening clinic hours on Mondays through Thursdays from 5:00pm to 7:30pm. If you have an urgent concern outside of office hours, please contact our office at 816-942-8644 and you will be directed to our answering service.

Our doctors take emergency calls from their homes after hours on weekdays as well as on weekends and holidays. Please save routine questions (mild illness, appointments, prescription refills) for times when our office is open. We encourage you to refer to our website first, when practical, before calling the doctor.

If an emergency should arise, please call 911. Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life-threatening: loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, etc. In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call our office first for instructions.

If you must be seen after hours, we recommend that you be seen at Children's Mercy South Urgent Care or the Children's Mercy downtown location.

If you have concerns regarding an ingestion or poisoning, please call the Poison Control center for guidance at 1-800-222-1222. The Poison Control Center is a available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. For more information, please refer to the poison control website: Poison Control Center
